2024 Updates
January 28th Release
IP Forecaster: PCT Workflow Improvements
We’ve introduced several subtle enhancements to our PCT forecasting process. We’ve cleaned up the request process to make selecting your receiving office and ISA easier. We now default to ePCT and have improved the look and feel of our forecast output. Stay tuned – a lot more PCT updates are coming throughout January and February!
January 28th Release
Platform Update: Easier Associate Fee Customization
When linking custom fees to PTO fees, it was hard to find the right fee if a PTO had different fees for entity size and transmission time (like the US). Now, we give you all the information you could ask for – making it easy to link your custom fee to a PTO fee.
January 28th Release
IP Forecaster: Client-specific Fees in Trademark Forecasts
Late last year, we added the ability to have client-specific fees in patent forecasts. We have now brought the same functionality to trademarks, allowing you to configure client-specific fees, discounts, and even client-specific associates.
January 21st Release
IP Forecaster: Anonymize Law Firm Fees
There are times when you want to see which associate was used in a forecast and times when you don’t (like when you send it to a client). You could manually remove the associate names, but that would suck, so we’ve added an Anonymizer to our export. With one click, your exports are scrubbed clean.
January 21st Release
IP Forecaster: Associate Claim Cost Customization
Many international associates charge additional fees based on the number of claims. This week, we’ve made adding and configuring claims-based fees easy. Simply click “Claims-based pricing,” and you can configure the cost for additional sets of claims.
January 21st Release
Strategic Planner: New Chart in the Library
We have added another chart to the library! This latest chart allows you to stack costs by year. You can easily change time periods and add or remove filters to restrict your portfolio items as needed.
January 21st Release
IP Forecaster: Improved Forecast Output
After several “improvements,” our results screen had become a bit of a hot mess. So, we took some time to clean things up. We no longer repeat the currency code a million times and have added subtotals, better column alignment, and a summary of the application details. Bellissima!
January 14th Release
IP Forecaster: Improved PCT Flexibility
You can now set default offices for processing your international applications and customize them as needed when doing a forecast. Want to get a forecast for the US as the receiving office and Korea as the International Search Authority? Now you can!
January 14th Release
Strategic Planner: New Data Table View
Charts are nice, but sometimes you just need the data. This week, we added a table view of costs to our planner page. In February, we will be adding spreadsheet functionality to the planner, making it easy to visualize your data in an MS Excel-like format.
January 14th Release
General: Consolidated Translation Cost Setup
We’ve completed the move of all custom translation costs into the custom fee sidebar menu. Everything you need to customize your translation costs is now in one spot – no more scavenger hunt to configure translation costs!
January 7th Release
IP Forecaster: Translation Optimizer
We now make it easy to evaluate your translation costs and vendor options before running your forecast. Simply select from your list of translation vendors or associates when translations are needed to preview your costs. Once you’ve chosen, create your forecast, and the costs will be included.
January 7th Release
Strategic Planner: Improved Filtering
We are making it easier to fine-tune your portfolio plans. You can now configure your cost plan to show anywhere from 1 year to 20 years’ worth of costs, and you can filter on products. Several additional filters will be added to this feature over the next several weeks.
January 7th Release
Strategic Planner: Save and Reuse Plans
Now that our Strategic Planner functionality is up and running, it’s important to be able to save and share plans. We get things started this week by adding the ability to save and reuse your plans. Simply give your plan a name, save it and you can use it as the basis for unlimited additional planning exercises.

IP Forecaster: Improved Real Time Chat
We’ve introduced an easier-to-use chat feature – that is also less annoying than the previous one. Chat with us during normal US business hours, or leave us a message and we’ll get back to you. Operators are standing by.
February 25th Release
IP Forecaster: Link Law Firm Fees to Multiple PTO Fees
A long time ago, in a land far away, we added the ability to link a law firm fee to a PTO fee so that they appeared together on a forecast. That worked great until clients needed to link a single fee to small, large, and micro-entity USPTO fees. Now, you can connect a single law firm fee to as many PTO fees as you would like, and everything shows up in the right place at the right time.
February 18th Release
IP Forecaster: New PCT National Phase Forecast Wizard
There are some specific types of forecasts that users create regularly, like national phase estimates. We are starting to create dedicated workflows tailored specifically to these requirements – our National Phase Wizard is the first of several. Set your target national phase entry date, select your countries, enter some application details and you are good to go. Fast!

February 18th Release
IP Forecaster: Receiving Office and ISA combinations
If you do PCT forecasts, you know that your international search authority is tied to your receiving office. Until this release, you were responsible for entering valid combinations of receiving office and ISA. Now, we keep track of all of that. Enter your receiving office and we will make sure you don’t select Burundi as your ISA.
February 11th Release
IP Forecaster: Improved Forecast Request Interface
We’ve added a lot of features to IP Forecaster over the last couple of months, so the screens were getting to be a hot mess. No more! We’ve introduced a new interface with tabs for less frequently used, but important features. Now, application details are immediately available and optional fees are just a click away.
February 11th Release
IP Forecaster Update: Simplified Priority Workflow
We added the ability to manage law firm fees for multiple priorities in November, but, as we’ve used it over the last couple of months, we’ve come to hate the way we implemented it. So, we made it 100% more awesome this week. You now have one spot to enter your number of priorities and it will pull together all your associate and PTO costs. Simple. Clean. Done.
February 11th Release
IP Forecaster: New PCT Receiving Office/Translation Capabilities
We now track the languages the various receiving offices allow and monitor your application language to automatically launch the translation optimizer when needed. You can then select your preferred translation source and Prokurio automatically calculates all of the associate and translation costs.
February 4th Release
Platform Update: Improved Fee Schedule Management
We’re making it easier to keep track of your associate/firm fee schedules. You can now track the date you receive or update your fee schedules. Soon, you will also be able to access this data when creating forecasts or processing invoices – ensuring you aren’t using old fee schedules.
February 4th Release
IP Forecaster Update: Improved Application Transmission Options
We’ve made it easier to deal with complex scenarios where you have a mixture of transmission methods. Now, you can easily forecast costs with one transmission method for your international application, and another for your national phase applications.

This new feature makes it easy to add ad hoc costs to your forecasts. Want to add a one-time special fee for a forecast? Simply select the cost category, enter a cost and the country to apply it to and you can add any fee to your forecast.

March 17th Release
Until now, if you wanted to set up law firm fees for payment of designation fees or Unitary Opt-in or Opt-out, they had to be created as optional fees that are selected when doing a forecast. We’ve now added the ability to automate these fees, allowing you to create a law firm fee that only applies if the Unitary route or Traditional routes are selected – or if both are selected.
March 17th Release
IP Forecaster: Route Finder Export
When you do a forecast and use Route Finder to look at different cost options, it would be helpful to be able to print or save the results. With this update, you can export the results to PDF – making sharing a whole lot easier!
March 10th Release
IP Forecaster: Global Fee Improvements
Sometimes you want a global fee to not be quite so global – like when you only charge a fee if an international associate performs a service. Now, you can set up a global fee and add a condition that doesn’t include the fee if there isn’t an applicable associate fee in the forecast.
March 10th Release
IP Forecaster: New Default Associate Capability
Even if you have multiple associates in a jurisdiction, you probably have a preferred associate that you use under normal circumstances. We now give you the ability to set your default associate for a jurisdiction. Select Colombia and automatically get your preferred associate. The best part?
