In addition to standard trademark forecasts, IP Forecaster allows you to quickly and easily forecast Madrid Protocol costs. You can easily filter costs for applications, subsequent designations, or renewals for trademarks, collective marks, and certification marks.
Let’s generate a Madrid Protocol application forecast for a mark with an origin of the US and contracting parties in France and Germany with 3 classes.
- First, from your homepage at the top under Create New Forecast, simply click the button labeled “Madrid Protocol”. This will take you directly to your Madrid Protocol Forecast Request screen.
- From your Forecast Request screen, select your Starting Point of United States. You can use type-ahead to narrow the list of countries and either arrow to your selection and hit the enter key or click on the country to select it.
- Now add your Contracting Parties by clicking the dropdown and use type-ahead to search. You may hit enter after each country to add it and search for another. Let’s add France and Germany for contracting parties.
- Number of classes is required and must be entered to proceed. Enter 3 for this example.
- Lastly, to the right of the screen under settings, is the report currency, mark type, color option checkbox and forecast type settings. Let’s keep the defaults.
- Click on the Create Forecast button to generate your forecast at the bottom of the screen. Note: This is a realtime forecast, so any changes at the top of your screen will auto-refresh the results below.
- The results generate with the total amounts by country and grand total, clicking on the arrow by the countries allows you to expand those sections to show additional details.
- Additionally, you can save, export, and/or email Madrid Protocol costs in PDF, Word, or Excel formats.
