We aim to be the most comprehensive source of IP cost information on the market. This week, we took several steps to realize that mission. We now support additional types of patent costs like provisional costs in the United States and Utility model costs elsewhere, we’ve added translation cost modeling capabilities to Client Planner, allowing you to view the impacts of different translation assumptions on your budgets.
Check out the week below!
IP Forecaster: EXPANDED PATENT COST SUPPORT
Within the world of patents, several patent subtypes have different costs. With this release, you can select from several new “filing types” to get forecasts for Provisional or other “short-term” patents.
Client Planner: Enhanced Spreadsheet Export
Based on client feedback, we’ve cleaned up Client Planner’s spreadsheet and added a few new options. You can now sort by client file number, and you can choose to include inactive and expired family members when reviewing a budget.
Client Planner: Translation Cost Modeling
Creating budgets for translation costs of applications that haven’t even been filed yet poses some logistical challenges. To address this, we’ve added a new translation assumptions tab, which enables you to define the translation model that you’ll use for planned new filings.
