Your IP Cost Forecasting Homepage – Video Overview
Where It All Starts – The Homepage #
After logging in, you will be taken to your homepage. From here, you have several IP cost estimation tools at your disposal. You can create and re-run forecasts and utilize the currency and translation widgets. You can also use the sidebar at the left to access other parts of the platform.
Creating New Forecasts #
To create a new forecast, simply click on the appropriate button.
- Patent – for any type of patent forecast, include national applications, PCT nationalization and EP Validation
- National Phase – used to create a cost estimate for PCT national phase entry costs
- Trademark – useful for forecasting the costs for one or more national trademarks
- Madrid Protocol – used to create forecasts for Madrid Protocol applications, subsequent designations, and renewals
- Designs – used to create national design forecasts
Recent Forecasts #
Here, you can access the last five forecasts you’ve run, whether they’ve been saved or not. Clicking the Edit button will take you to the edit form, allowing you to make changes to the setup before running the forecast. Re-run will execute the forecast using the settings from the prior run.
Saved Forecasts #
In this section, you have access to the last five forecasts that you have saved. In addition to the Edit, Delete and Re-run buttons, you also have a Duplicate button, which allows you to copy a previously saved forecast to create a new one.
You can view all of your forecasts by using the navigation bar on the left of the page and selecting IP Forecaster, then Patents, Trademarks or Designs.
IP Cost Forecasting Homepage Widgets #
In addition to IP cost estimation, several widgets on the home page allow you to convert currencies, calculate excess claims costs, and estimate translation costs. Details on the translation widget can be found here. Information on the use of the currency converter can be found here.
